Ok, Ladies this is a very quick one. I went and had dinner with a couple of friends last weekend and I intended on doing an OOTD post then, but I was not too happy with the turnout of the photos. The sun was in my face, hubby was not doing giving his best photographer instructions, and so on.

Nonetheless, for outfit purposes here they are.

LOL at my facial expressions. I remember telling him to just forget it because i couldn’t keep my face straight……definitely NOT a model….smh

Let’s take a look at some of these Billionaire Women and what they are wearing:

What do these three Billionaire women have in common? As you can see, all of these “power” women are wearing suits and have a polished look. This means that even if it is 2012, you can STILL wear a suit with a blouse and look like a million dollars. You will not need to spend hundreds of dollars to get yourself a “pulled together” look, but you will definitely want to grab a few staple items that you will be able to wear multiple times with a number of other items. Here are staple items that you will want to grab:
Black slacks- You can never go wrong with black slacks. They can paired with just about anything and can be worn for work or for a night out to dinner.

White blouse- Just like the black slacks, there is so much that you can do with a white blouse. Not only can you wear it for work and dress it up, but you will be able to wear it with jeans, shorts, and skirts and dress it down.

Black Suit- When dressing up for an interview, a black suit is probably one of the top and safest choices to wear. You should definitely be able to pull off a black suit with just about anything. You can also use the blazer with jeans, dresses, etc. and you can wear the skirt with blouses without the blazer for a more casual look.

It is better to be safe than sorry and to keep it simple. You want to make sure you also have closed toe pumps with a shorter heel. You do not want to wear a heel higher than 4 inches since it does not seem too professional. You should know exactly what to wear to an interview by keeping it safe with the pieces mentioned above. There you are drawing a blank in front of the closet wondering what to wear on a first date with this guys that you really want to impress. Sounds familiar? Well, though it has been ages since I have dated (happily married for 5 years) I can still remember those days when you just don’t know what to wear. I mean, you probably have enough clothes to last you for a month (or moreJ) without repeating, but it seems like you don’t have anything. This is probably because you truly are unsure about what you should wear on your first date. Here are a few guidelines that will help you decide on what to wear:

Dress for the Occasion

Ok, so if you are like me, you are probably a high heel wearing kinda girl that loves to dress up any chance you get. If you are not, then I truly don’t know how that feels. Lol…Honestly, you have to dress for the occasion. While I may love to dress up in a dress and my 5 inch heels, I definitely would not dress like that to the Strawberry Festival….that would be a nightmare!  So you definitely want to make sure that you find out with your date where you are going. If he wants to surprise you, you may want to tell him that you are deciding on whether to dress casual or dressy, so if he can just give you an idea you would appreciate it.

Keep Your Makeup Natural

The last thing that you want to do is to look like a clown…or a drag queen on your first date. As much as women like to play in makeup, a man always prefers for a women to look natural, so the less makeup that you wear the better it is. Imagine wearing a ton of makeup and then after a while he is really liking you, then one morning he wakes up next to you and has no idea who you are. That is scary for a man and if you are packing on makeup like that, you definitively want to make sure that you re-learn how to apply makeup naturally. Not trying to be mean, but honestly ladies you have to know when and where to wear it to. Keep it natural and maybe if it is a nice event or a dinner party, you can dabble in the smokey eye, but other than that you really want him to fall in love with you and your natural beauty.

Wear Something You Are Comfortable In

If you are not used to dressing up and your first date consists of going to a very nice restaurant for dinner, then you will still want to dress nice, but you want to be comfortable. Sometimes being too overdone and flashy is a bit much and will make your date run the other way, so making sure that you are comfortable will really help the date because it will allow you to be yourself and not be stiff because you are uncomfortable. You also want to make sure that you are not wearing something too revealing. If you are busty, you may not want to wear a low cut V strapless mini dress. You want to be able to let the man have some imagination about you without having to see it all on the first date.

Black is definitely a color that is used by both men and women at funerals and it is one of the best choices since it does represent mourning. When choosing a color for a funeral, people usually wear something that expresses their mood, so keeping it safe and wearing the typical color is probably what you will want to do and you most certainly want to stay away from loud, flashy colors or anything with flowers and prints. The mood should be mellow and calm; therefore, your outfit should definitely determine that.

After taking a look at several photos and doing a little research for you, I found that the appropriate funeral etiquette for a woman is to wear a black dress or a black top with a black skirt. You want to keep it simple, classic and conservative while still looking fashionable. Seriously, while we all understand it is a funeral, you want to look your best when you are going to pay your dues at the funeral. As far as footwear, you will want to choose something that is a basic black. Nothing with prints or glitter and you want to keep it conservative, therefore, you want to limit the size of heels that you are wearing. While you do want to look stylish, you also want to make sure that you are comfortable with the shoes and the attire that you are wearing.

Additionally, for accessories, you want to make sure that you are wearing discreet accessories that are not overpowering and “loud”. Pearls are simple, chic, and dressy and will look perfect for a funeral. If you are a “hat wearing kind a girl” then by all means, you can definitely wear a hat to a funeral since it is very common and acceptable. Again, the color should be black and should not be too “attention driven” if I may add.

How to Wear Skinny Jeans Properly

While you may think that your shape is not suitable for skinny jeans, you will learn that skinny jeans come in different sizes and women from all sizes can opt to wear them in the right colors. As you may know, darker colors are more slimming, so if you are more curvaceous, a darker denim wash and even black skinny jeans will look great. Staying away from patterned prints and fading skinny jeans will keep the people focused in the “eyes and away from the thighs”.

Hi Fashionistas! I just wanted to post an outfit of the day (OOTD) since I didn’t do one this week. I promise I am going to get better with my photos and my updates. I need to get a tripod for my camera so that I can take some good outside photos for you  all. In the meantime….please enjoy the rugged pics! lol

So here is what i was going for:

Kim is wearing J Brand jeans, LnA white tee, Rick Owens leather jacket, Christian Louboutin spike booties and a Chanel Purse. I think her outfit is very cute and I absolutely LOVE the shoes!

I on the other hand wore Forever 21 jeans, a white tee from Walmart, H&M blazer, Premier Designs jewelry, and my new favorite shoes….the Adela shoes from ShoeDazzle! I love the scarf and leather jacket that Kim was wearing and though I do have similar pieces it was a tad too hot in Florida to put that on.

Women who wear leggings, like me, will tell you that they can be worn with just about anything and are not that hard to pair. With so many different selections these days, you will see that you can get leggings in just about any color, length, material, and even prints. Now, there are definitely a few tips that you will want to remember when wearing leggings.

1. Leggings are used for layering- You can wear them under your dresses, tunics, skirts, shorts, etc. It is good to think about them as tights as opposed to pants, unless you are wearing a long enough shirt to cover the cookie prints. I’m just sayin’!
2. Choosing the right shoes- Of course this all depends on what you are wearing with leggings, but you will see that flats and boots look very good with leggings.
3. Leggings as an addition to your outfit- It is safe to say that leggings are an “accessory” to your outfit and are more than likely not your “statement piece”. This is unless you are going for patterned leggings with prints and textures.

Chicas, you can definitely not go wrong wearing leggings. If you are still new to learning how to wear leggings, I would start off with small baby steps… Black leggings! They will be able to match almost everything and can be worn with a tunic, shorts, dresses, and skirts. You can’t go wrong in leggings, but you want to remember they must be full length. Unless you are working out in leggings, you do NOT need to wear leggings that go to your calves.

Keep it Sexy Ladies! 

The great thing about this event was that it was a fashion show for proceeds to the Jof of Giving, which was an event that was joined by families, businesses and community organizations to give back to children within the Tampa Bay community. The proceeds went to put together this great community event that gave away over 500 toys to children in the area.

My job was to help with dressing the models from “The Look/The Shop Boutique” and although it was definitely very fast paced and a lot of work I enjoyed every bit of it and cannot wait for the next event! (Sidenote: Obsessed with the long sleeved blue sequence dress!)

I’ve been keeping my fashion very nude and neutral so far this year and dressing my looks up slightly with different scarves!

I really like ths look because the jacket that she is wearing is definitely a statement piece. It has a very chic two-toned color and looks perfect with all black. Since she is into scarves these days, she is rocking a nude scarf as well that fits the whole ensemble fabulously.

Ok, so the Oh SO stylish Rhi-Rhi is wearing this beautiful dress, but for the ordinary girl like you and I….the price is too steep! At $2675 I think i can put together a nice closet with tons of outfits. So here is what I found for us:
