I definitely need to teach my daughter to fix my clothes before snapping photos since the clothes look a little weird at the top. lol… Hubby and I finally had a chance to go see a movie and have a night out without all three girls. We enjoyed the Steve Harvey movie and he took me for sushi afterwards which is always nice. I should’ve snapped some photos of him since he looked mighty handsome in his grey and black.

Hey Ladies!

This is going to be a quick one. It is DEF a BLAH kind of day for me. For the last two days I’ve been in bed with a fever and I must have caught the same bug my little bitty caught last week, so needless to say I spent Mother’s Day weekend on the couch sleeping wrapped up in a million blankets. Today was a drag to make it to work, nothing fancy, not much makeup and definitely didn’t do much to my hair, so bear with me dolls!

Hi Ladies! Today I am doing a Gelish by Harmony review. I received the following as my Mother’s Day gift.

I asked hubby for this a few weeks before and I really didn’t think I would get it since it did seem a little pricey at first, but after we did the math, it worked out better for us to buy than for me to continue paying $20 for a manicure and the Gelish polish. So here is what I received. The Gelish starter kit, which is called the “Gelish Basix kit” which comes with 1 of each: Mini Gelish Ph Bond, Mini Gelish Foundation, Mini Gelish Top It Off, Mini Gelish Nourish, Mini Gelish Cleanser, and Mini Gelish Artificial Nail Remover.I also got the mini UV light which I believe is the least expensive one that they have since it is the smallest version, and then I did get 2 polishes since the kit does not contain any polishes.

I tried it out today and I absolutely LOVE it! Now, let’s be real…It took me a little while to get it since I was doing it sloppy and I didn’t let it cure for long enough, which is extremely important! If it doesn’t cure (dry) completely, then the nail polish will not stick and it is not going to stay the way that it is supposed to. After a couple of tries I finally managed to get it working. Here is the outcome of what I did:

Please excuse the blurry photos. I used my camera phone which didn’t work out as great as I wanted it to turn out. I do love the results. This color is right up my lane, since it is a bubble gum pink that I love. The color is Go Girl in case you want to pick it up as well. I did learn that in order for the polish to last, you really need to make sure that you remove any excess polish and gel from your cuticles and around your nail. I messed up a few nails and after they dried I tried scraping it off with my nail and it ended up pulling some of the polish from the nail, so make sure you do remember to do that.Here is a handy video that helped me with the whole process:

Today was a chill day, so here is a quick OOTD…. For those of you ladies who claim I don’t dress down, HERE YA GO! lol… As hot as it has been these days I will definitely be wearing shorts, skirts, and tons of dresses with flats.

Hi Chicas!

Today was another loooooong day. This weekend came and left in the blink of an eye. Now I know what it was like growing up when my mom always said that the weekends weren’t enough. I am SO feeling like that today. Today we went from party to party and had to deal with the little one of the 3 girls who was throwing up and had an upset belly. No FUN! I hate it when my girlies aren’t feeling their best.

I definitely love this top! I just found it this week at the thrift store for a whopping $2. Isn’t that awesome? I am so proud of the way my 8yr old is progressing in her photography. She tells me how to stand, what to do and she is hilarious when she is shooting. The latest…”umm, you need to suck that belly in and look skinny”. Ok, really? She is a trip i tell ya! My girls are SO animated and will tell you exactly what is on their mind.

Ok, so I am getting ready to post a separate blog post of my darling hubby. I am going to make a section here strictly for “Stylistas” where I will post pics of other fashionable personalities that I run into while I am out and about.

Hope you ladies are having a wonderful day! I have definitely enjoyed my day, though I am extremely tired from being a “cheer mom” and traveling with 30 cheerleaders. I can still hear the noise in my head…

Today it has really been in my spirit to truly let go of things and hand them over to God. As I watch children, they are free, uncut, and are not afraid of speaking up and saying what they feel or what is in their heart. Sometimes as adults we dwell too much on what other will think about our ideas, what the outcome will be, and whether or not we will be accepted or not.

It is really time to have that “kid-like” mindset and step out in faith and do what we believe in! Letting go of fear and anything holding us back is the beginning of a different future!

Now…as far as my OOTD….here is what i wore:

A lot of black and a little splash of white. I love the look and think that black is always a great color that you can use as  base to add a splash of anything else!Hope you like it as much as i do!

Hi Dolls!

Here is my OOTD! It was one of those business kind of days today. Nothing too flashy, nothing neon, and simple jewelry. I am still recovering from the gym and boy oh boy…Body pump class is kicking my BEE-HIND but I am going to keep at it. Here’s what i’m wearing:

A White Button Down

YES…it’s as simple as a white button down! White shirts are the perfect addition to your wardrobe because they are so versatile. You can wear them with just about anything and they will look sharp! Whether you want a casual look and you pair it with your favorite shorts or whether you are stepping it up a notch and wearing it with your favorite pencil skirt, a white shirt is definitely a life saver.

Black Pumps

You have definitely heard this before; you need a pair of black pumps. In fact, many women have several styles of the black pump, but you should have at least one. It is a “go to” shoe that you can pair very easily when you are first starting out in fashion. Black pumps will go well with the darker colors and will be the perfect touch to a dressed up look.

Nude Pumps

Likewise, you will want a pair of nude pumps. I can’t believe I went so long without a pair of nude pumps. They are the perfect addition to your wardrobe, especially during the spring and summer months when you are wearing all of those beautiful colors. They match with just about anything and are super easy to find. Of course, because they are a nude pump you will want to make sure that you find the closest “nude” to your skin tone.

Hi Ladies!

This one will be short and sweet since I have a ton of things to do this afternoon. Yesterday was my first day of going back to the gym in a loooong time and of all things my hubby and I took a body pump class. When I tell you it kicked my butt I am NOT kidding! My whole body is sore, I had to take some meds and when I attempted to wear my heels my legs started to shake…lol..I know I am the weakest link but whatever! I am really going to try to stick to this since I am really not happy with my girls always asking me if I am having another baby. A skinny girl with a big pooch is definitely not cute so I am DEF working on this asap.

My OOTD is Lemon Lime with  a little denim  shirt action. Hope you like!
